community involvement and events summary
The Malone community will be involved throughout the life of the project. Five events will be organized to introduce the project, give the community members space and time to share their stories, and the project team will work alongside the community as they contribute to the descriptions of items in the collection. These events will also give us an opportunity to give the community time to select and take-home photographs that will not be retained in the center archives. Community members will also participate in some archiving activities that will help them organize and preserve their own family stories.
